Bangladeshi New York Queens Resident Attacked In Possible Hate Crimes Against Muslims

In New York City, hate crimes jumped. Most hate crimes go unreported. According to a recent report by the federal government’s Bureau of Justice.

Today March 03 2018, on Saturday around 5.30am Bangladeshi New York Queens Jamaica resident 63 years old Man Mr. Azizur Rahman (Father-in-law of Imam Mohammad Mukit, Darus Salam Masjid, Jamaica, Queens, NY) attacked in possible hate crimes against muslims. The incident was happened while he was going to Fajr prayer today around 5.30am in between 87th to 86th Avenue, 148th Street, Jamaica, Queens, NY by some unknown black youth peoples. The victim old man was captured and beaten by the group of black youth. Immediately after the attack, the victim was admitted to 82-68 164th Street, Queens Hospital Center in a serious condition with critical wounds, witnesses said. New York Police investigate this matter. No attacker in custody.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has said that upstick linked to Donal Trump’s campaign rhetoric .

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo had set up a special police unit to address the issue statewide, in response to an increase in hate crimes after the election.
